GDPR, Business rates and EPC's - Thursday 30th November 2017 09.30-13.00
New Continental Hotel, Plymouth
Delivered by one of our Corporate Partners, Vickery Holman, and Amanda Williams, from Sapphire Consulting Group Ltd, the workshop will be divided into two sections. Vickery Holman will be providing us with an insight into business rates and how we can minimise our liability. They will also be bringing us up to date with changes to Energy Performance Certificates. Amanda will then be providing us with an overview of GDPR and what practical steps we should be taking in preparation for the new regulations.
There will be plenty of opportunities to network throughout the morning as well as during the Cream Tea served at Noon!
Previously this year we ran two workshops with our corporate partners. The first was at Moorland Garden Hotel in May with Kath Bourke from South West Growth Service and Clare Stirling from Made with Maturity. Topics included Practical Tools for Growing your Business, and Social Media Best Practise.
Our second workshop took place at Boringdon Hall Hotel in July with Vic Williams from the Audacious Company who provided an interactive LinkedIn training session and Ashley Smith from H.M Williams who looked at Understanding Accounts for Non-Finance Managers.
A donation from each workshop ticket price goes to our chosen charity for 2017, Jeremiah’s Journey.

Our charity of 2017
A donation from the proceeds of the Cream Tea Club goes to our charity of the year. In 2017 we have chosen to support Jeremiah's Journey, an amazing self-funded local charity for grieving children, young people & their families.
We aim to ensure that children, young people and their parents/carers in Plymouth and the immediate surrounding area have support at a sad and difficult time. This may be because someone special has died or a parent has a terminal illness (the Stepping Stones Project).
We believe that no child or family should feel alone in their grief.
Our work is centred around children, young people and their families who are grieving and we always aim to do our best to help them through a difficult and uncertain time. Families need support at different times and may be facing lots of challenges. We are respectful of each child and their family’s individual experiences and circumstances. We will be creative in our work and strive for excellence in all areas of the charity.
Want to know how you can support Jeremiah's Journey?
There are so many different ways that you can get involved with Jeremiah’s Journey. Whether it’s jumping out of a plane at 15,000ft; organising your own bake off or simply becoming a volunteer/friend.
